A PDF reader that needs no installation
Not every device has a good PDF program, and some built-in viewers make simple tasks hard. This reader opens a PDF in your browser tab and gives you the controls you use most: zoom in and out, fit to width so the text fills the screen, go straight to a page number, and rotate the view when a scanned page comes in sideways.
Links inside the document work, so a table of contents or a web address in a report takes you where it should. It runs on computers and phones with a modern browser.
Find what you need in long documents
Type a word or phrase in the search box and the reader highlights every match. Use next and previous to move through them one by one. That is the quickest way to find a clause in a lease, a product code in a catalog, or a date in a long set of meeting minutes.
You can also select text and copy it, for example to paste a paragraph into an email or a quote into your notes. Search and copy need a PDF that actually contains text. A scanned document is a picture of a page, so run it through OCR PDF first to make its text searchable.
Read without changing anything
The reader never modifies your file. Rotating the view, zooming or searching only affects what you see on screen; the PDF stays exactly as it was. That is useful when you only want to check a document before sending it on, and you want to be sure nothing changes by accident.
If you do want to mark it up, open the same file in Annotate PDF to highlight passages and add notes, or in Edit PDF to add text, images and shapes. To pull all the text out into a plain file, use PDF to TXT.
Everyday uses
A student can open lecture slides on a school computer and search for the topic before an exam. Someone checking a bank statement can jump to the last page and find a specific transaction. A worker on a shared office PC can read a contract without installing software the IT team would have to approve.
