Seven barcode types
EAN-13 and EAN-8 are the codes on retail products in most of the world, and UPC-A is the one used in the United States and Canada. ISBN identifies books. ITF-14 goes on shipping boxes and cartons. Code 128 and Code 39 accept letters and numbers, so they are the usual choice for internal uses such as inventory, asset tags, shelf locations, library cards, membership cards or order numbers.
If your number is missing the final check digit, the generator calculates it for you. It also validates the format and tells you what is wrong: a digit too many, a letter where only numbers are allowed or a check digit that doesn't match.
One code or a whole list
Paste a list with one code per line, or open a .txt file, and you get up to 500 barcodes in one go. That is enough to label a store's catalog, a warehouse shelf, a batch of tools or the books of a small library. The bar height can be set from 10 to 25 mm, and the numbers under the bars can be shown or hidden.
Each barcode downloads as PNG, handy for documents and spreadsheets, or SVG, a vector format that print shops and label software handle without losing sharpness.
Label sheets in PDF
Instead of separate images you can get a PDF of labels on A4 or Letter paper, with 10, 21, 24 or 40 labels per sheet and from 1 to 24 copies of each code. Print it on adhesive label paper or on plain paper you cut by hand. Print at 100% scale, without "fit to page", so the labels line up with the sheet; it is worth trying one page on plain paper first.
There is a shortcut page, Barcode labels, that opens directly in this mode.
Important: ConvertirDocs does not assign numbers
This tool draws the barcode for a number you already have. It does not give you official product numbers. To sell products in stores and marketplaces that require EAN or UPC codes, the numbers must be registered, for example with GS1, the organization that manages them. Making up an EAN number can clash with another company's product. For internal codes such as inventory, Code 128 or Code 39 with your own numbering is the safe choice.
The codes are generated in your browser: your product list is not sent to any server or stored. It is free, without an account and without watermarks.
