  2. 2

Create your signature: draw it with your finger or mouse, type it in one of three styles, or upload a photo of it.

  3. 3

Place it on the right page, adjust its size, add your name or the date if needed, then press “Process” and download.

Your files never leave your device

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded to any server: it is read, processed and downloaded on your own device. When you close or reload the page, it is gone from memory.

Three ways to create your signature

Drawing is the most natural option on a phone or tablet: sign with your finger right on the screen. On a computer you can draw with the mouse or a trackpad. If that feels clumsy, type your name and pick one of three handwriting-style fonts.

The third option is to upload an image of your real signature. Sign a blank sheet of paper, take a clear photo and upload it. The tool can remove the white background so the signature sits cleanly on the page instead of inside a white box.

Placing it on the document

You can put your signature on any page, drag it into place and resize it to fit the signature line. Need to initial every page of a lease or a contract? Place it as many times as you like. You can also add text next to it, such as your printed name or today's date, which many forms ask for right beside the signature.

When everything looks right, process the file. The result is a regular PDF you can email, upload to a portal or print.

What kind of signature this is

Sign PDF creates a simple electronic signature: a visual mark of your signature on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature. It doesn't attach a digital certificate, and it doesn't lock the document against later changes. For everyday paperwork, such as rental agreements, school permission slips, job offer letters or delivery receipts, a visual signature is often what people expect. Some legal, banking or government processes require a certified digital signature. If you're not sure, ask the organization that requested your signature.

This tool is for signing documents yourself. It doesn't send requests to other people or collect signatures from several signers. If another person needs to sign, send them the PDF and they can sign it here too.

Your signature stays private

A signature image is personal data you don't want floating around. Everything here happens in your browser: your PDF and your signature never leave your device, and we don't save either one. It's free, with no account and no email address required.
