How to rotate a PDF in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Select one or more PDFs.

  2. 2

Choose 90° right, 90° left or 180°, and whether it applies to all pages or only the ones you tap.

  3. 3

Press “Process” and download the rotated PDF, or a ZIP if you added several files.

Your files never leave your device

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded to any server: it is read, processed and downloaded on your own device. When you close or reload the page, it is gone from memory.

Fix sideways and upside-down pages for good

Rotate PDF pages when a document opens sideways or upside down. It happens a lot with scans: a sheet fed the wrong way through the scanner, a phone photo taken in landscape, or a wide spreadsheet printed on its side and scanned back in.

Your PDF viewer may let you turn the view, but that change isn’t saved in the file. The person you send it to will still see it sideways. Rotating here writes the new orientation into the PDF, so it opens correctly in any app, on any device, and prints the right way.

All pages, some pages or several files

If the whole document is turned, rotate all pages in one step. If only a few are wrong, choose to rotate only the pages you pick and tap their thumbnails. A report with one landscape chart in the middle is a typical case: turn just that page and leave the rest.

You can also add several PDFs at once. The same rotation is applied to every file, and the results download together in a ZIP. That’s handy for a batch of scans that all came out upside down. Selecting individual pages works with a single PDF.

Before you upload or print

Reviewers on job, school and government portals often read documents on screen. A sideways ID copy or transcript is harder to check and looks careless. Take a few seconds to rotate it before you submit.

If you need to rotate some pages and also move or delete others, “Organize PDF” does all of that on one screen. If your pages came from phone photos, “Scan to PDF” can straighten and crop them as well.

Private and lossless

Rotation is applied in your browser. The PDF is not uploaded, it never leaves your device, and nothing is stored. No sign-up, no limits beyond your device’s memory.

Only the orientation changes. Images aren’t recompressed and text stays selectable, so the rotated file looks just as sharp as the original. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first with “Unlock PDF”.

Rotating on a phone

Phone scanning apps and cameras sometimes save pages in the wrong orientation, especially when the phone was lying flat on a table. Open this page in your phone’s browser, select the PDF from your files, choose the angle and download. It takes a few taps and there’s nothing to install.

When you choose specific pages, the thumbnails help you spot which ones are turned. Tap each one that needs fixing, check your selection, then press “Process”. If different pages need different angles, run the tool once for each angle, using the downloaded file each time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The downloaded PDF opens with the pages already rotated in any app, not just in your browser.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. With a single PDF, choose to rotate only the pages you pick and tap the ones you want to turn.

Can I rotate several PDFs at once?

Yes. The same rotation is applied to all of them and they download together as a ZIP.

Which angles can I use?

90° to the right, 90° to the left, or 180° to flip a page that’s upside down.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The rotation runs in your browser and the file never leaves your device.

Do I lose quality when rotating?

No. Only the orientation changes; images and text stay exactly as they were.

Why does my PDF look fine on my screen but sideways for others?

Some viewers only rotate the view without saving it. Rotating here saves the orientation into the file itself.

Can I rotate different pages by different angles?

One angle is applied per run. Rotate some pages, then run the tool again on the result for the others, or use “Organize PDF”, which rotates each page individually.
