QR code and barcode tools

Make QR codes that never expire, read QR codes from screenshots and print barcode labels for your products or inventory. All three tools run in your browser, so what you type and the images you open are not sent anywhere. They are free, with no account and no subscription.

QR code generator creates codes for a link or text, a WiFi network, a WhatsApp chat, an email, a phone number, an SMS, a vCard contact card and Pix, Brazil's instant payment system. You choose the size (512, 1024 or 2048 pixels), the colors, the error correction level and an optional logo, and download PNG or SVG. The codes are static: the content is written inside the code, so they don't expire and don't depend on any company's server, unlike the paid "dynamic" codes many generators sell. The trade-off is that a static code can't be edited after printing and doesn't count scans. There are ready-made pages for the most common cases: WiFi QR code for guests, WhatsApp QR code and WhatsApp link generator for customers, vCard QR code for business cards and badges, and Pix QR code for shops in Brazil.

QR code scanner reads QR codes from images and screenshots, several at once, or from your camera after you allow it. It shows the content as text before anything happens: links are never opened automatically, so you can check the address first, and WiFi codes show the network name and password. It reads QR codes only, not barcodes.

Barcode generator draws EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 128, Code 39, ITF-14 and ISBN barcodes, calculates the check digit if it is missing and tells you when a number has the wrong format. Type up to 500 codes, one per line, and download PNG or SVG images, or a PDF sheet of labels on A4 or Letter with 10, 21, 24 or 40 labels per page; the Barcode labels page opens in that mode. ConvertirDocs does not assign product numbers: to sell in retail stores, EAN and UPC numbers must be registered, for example with GS1. For internal inventory, Code 128 with your own numbering is enough.

Typical uses: a menu and a WiFi code on restaurant tables, a WhatsApp code on a shop window, a contact code on a conference badge, a Pix code on a counter in Brazil, asset tags for office equipment and price labels for a small store. When a code has to go into a document, JPG to PDF or the printable tools help you lay it out for printing.

Frequently asked questions

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with the content inside, so they keep working as long as they can be scanned. They can't be edited later and don't track scans.

Can I scan a QR code that is on my screen?

Yes. Take a screenshot and open it in QR code scanner. It shows the content as text without opening links automatically.

Can I read barcodes with the scanner?

No. The scanner reads QR codes only.

Do you provide EAN or UPC numbers?

No. The barcode generator draws codes for numbers you already have. Retail numbers must be registered, for example with GS1.

Is any of my data sent to a server?

No. Codes are generated and read in your browser. WiFi passwords, contacts, Pix keys and images are not sent or stored.
