Big photos, light enough to share
Today's phones take photos of 12, 48 or more megapixels, and a single picture can weigh several megabytes. A 1 MB target cuts that down while keeping practically all the visible quality. It's a good size for sending photos in messaging apps like WhatsApp as files, attaching them to an email, posting them in groups and communities, or uploading them to listings for rentals, cars and second-hand items.
Many sites and forms also simply say “maximum 1 MB per image”. Instead of guessing with a quality slider, type the limit and let ConvertirDocs find the best quality that fits.
Better control than the app's own compression
Messaging and social apps compress photos automatically, and you don't get a say in how. Sending a photo you've already brought to 1 MB means you choose how it's reduced: you can see the result, compare sizes and keep the version you're happy with. It also makes uploads faster on slow mobile connections.
For social posts, a maximum side of around 2000 pixels is usually more than the platform displays. Setting it here keeps detail where it counts and makes reaching 1 MB easy.
Listings and classifieds
Rental, car and marketplace listings live or die by their photos, and those sites often cap each image. Select every photo of the item at once: each gets its own 1 MB target, and you download them in a ZIP ready to upload. Removing the location data from the photos is a bonus here, since pictures taken at home can otherwise reveal your address.
How the target is reached
ConvertirDocs tries quality levels and keeps the best one under 1 MB. Very large photos may also be reduced in dimensions step by step. If 1 MB can't be reached, you get the smallest version and a message explaining it. If an image is already light and compression wouldn't help, the original comes back unchanged.
Private and free
Your photos are processed in the browser and aren't uploaded or stored. EXIF data, including GPS location, is removed from the results, and the camera orientation is respected. It's free, with no sign-up, no usage limit and no watermark.
