Compress image lowers the file size of JPG, PNG and WEBP pictures. Pick high, medium or low quality, or type a target size and it finds the best quality that fits, which is what you need when a form only accepts images under 100 KB or 50 KB. PNG files are reduced to a color palette, which works well for screenshots and graphics; for photos, converting to JPG or WEBP usually saves more.
Convert image changes the format to JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF or ICO. It opens those formats plus JFIF, SVG, HEIC, JPEG XL, Photoshop PSD, Illustrator AI and camera RAW files such as CR2, NEF, ARW and DNG (from the JPEG preview the camera stores, without developing the RAW). When converting to JPG, transparent areas are filled with white. There are ready-made pages for the common cases: PNG to JPG, WEBP to JPG, HEIC to JPG and HEIC to PNG, AVIF to JPG, JPG to AVIF, SVG to PNG, PNG to ICO for favicons, TIFF to JPG, PSD to PNG, AI to PNG, RAW to JPG and a bulk image converter for whole folders. HEIC opens in Safari, and in Chrome when the device has an HEVC decoder.
Resize image sets an exact width and height in pixels, keeping the proportions, scales by percentage, or works in inches, cm or mm with the DPI you choose, which is what print sizes need; the Resize image in cm page starts in that mode. Crop image lets you draw the area to keep, with free or fixed ratios such as 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 and 9:16, in a rectangle, circle, oval or with rounded corners (round shapes come out as transparent PNG), and also rotates and flips; the Circle crop page is ready for profile pictures. Rotate image turns pictures 90° or 180° and flips them, for many images at once. Change image DPI writes a new print resolution into JPG and PNG files without touching the pixels.
Black and white image has two modes: grayscale, which keeps the tones and suits photos, and pure black and white with an adjustable threshold, which suits documents and signatures you plan to print or photocopy.
Two tools handle vectors and animation. Image to SVG traces a PNG or JPG into real vector paths with 2 to 12 colors, which suits logos, icons, signatures and cutting machines; photos turn into flat-color posters. GIF maker joins several images into an animated GIF, converts an animated WEBP to GIF, or extracts every frame of a GIF as PNG files; the last two modes need Chrome, Edge or Firefox. JPG to transparent PNG removes plain white backgrounds without AI.
Some tools solve specific jobs. Passport photo maker sizes a photo to 2×2 in, 3.5×4.5 cm, 3×4 cm and other sizes at 300 DPI and builds a sheet of copies with cut marks; print it at 100%, and keep in mind it doesn't change the background or check official rules. Signature maker lets you draw, type or photograph your signature and download a transparent PNG. Remove white background makes a plain background transparent, which suits logos, stamps and signatures, not people. Merge images joins pictures side by side, stacked or in a grid. Blur image pixelates, blurs or blacks out areas such as ID numbers. Image to text reads printed text from photos and screenshots with OCR and saves it as text or Word.
Two tools help with privacy and social media. Remove photo metadata shows what a picture reveals, such as the GPS location, the camera, the date and the author, and removes it; JPG and PNG files are cleaned without recompressing, so the image stays identical, except a JPG that relied on its orientation tag, which is straightened and saved again at high quality. It is worth running before you post photos of things you sell online or send pictures to an office. Split image cuts a picture into equal parts, from 3×1 strips for a carousel to any grid up to 20×20, numbered in order and downloaded as a ZIP; the Instagram grid maker page crops it so every piece is square for a profile mosaic.
If you're not sure which tool to use, think about the limit you have to meet. A size limit in KB or MB calls for Compress image. A required width and height in pixels calls for Resize image. A required shape, such as a square profile photo, calls for Crop image. A format the website rejects calls for Convert image. Sideways photos need Rotate image. A screenshot with private data calls for Blur image, and a photo of a printed page you need to edit calls for Image to text. You can chain them with "What else do you want to do?" without uploading the picture again.
All image tools accept several files at once and download multiple results as a ZIP. Reprocessing removes EXIF data, including the photo's GPS location, and respects the camera orientation. When you need a document instead of a picture, JPG to PDF turns images into a PDF.
