The tools are grouped by what you need to get done. Organize covers the page-level work: Merge PDF joins several files into one, Split PDF cuts a file by ranges or every N pages, Remove pages and Extract pages keep only what matters, Organize PDF lets you reorder, rotate and insert blank pages, Scan to PDF turns your phone or laptop camera into a document scanner, and Pages per sheet and PDF to booklet prepare a PDF for printing with less paper or as a folded booklet.
Optimize is about size and quality. Compress PDF shrinks the photos inside a PDF while leaving text and vector graphics untouched, and can aim for a target size such as 1 MB or 500 KB. Repair PDF rebuilds damaged files, and OCR PDF adds a searchable text layer to scanned documents in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
The conversion tools work in both directions. JPG to PDF and TXT to PDF create PDFs from images and plain text, while PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, PDF to PowerPoint, PDF to JPG, PDF to PNG, PDF to TXT and PDF to Markdown pull content out of a PDF into a format you can reuse, and Extract images from PDF saves the photos inside it at full resolution.
To change a PDF, use Edit PDF to add text, images, shapes and drawings, Annotate PDF to highlight and leave notes, PDF Forms to fill or create form fields, plus Rotate PDF, Page numbers, Watermark, Crop PDF, Edit PDF Metadata, Resize PDF to change the paper size to A4, Letter or Legal, and Grayscale PDF to print without color ink. For security, Unlock PDF, Protect PDF, Sign PDF, Redact PDF, Flatten PDF and Compare PDF cover locking, signing, hiding and checking documents.
Where to start depends on the job. If a portal rejects your file for size, go to Compress PDF or Compress image. If you received a scan and need to edit it, run OCR PDF and then PDF to Word. If you have photos of receipts or IDs, JPG to PDF or Scan to PDF builds one clean document. Before sending something confidential, Redact PDF removes what others shouldn't see and Protect PDF adds a password. Multiple results always download together as a ZIP, or one by one if you prefer.
Two newer groups cover codes and data. QR and barcode tools include QR code generator, for links, WiFi, WhatsApp, contact cards, email, SMS and Pix codes that never expire, QR code scanner, which reads QR codes from screenshots or the camera without opening links on its own, and Barcode generator, which makes EAN, UPC, Code 128, ITF-14 and ISBN barcodes and PDF label sheets. Data and file tools include CSV to Excel, which converts between CSV, Excel, JSON and XML while keeping leading zeros, Zip files, with optional AES-256 passwords, and Unzip files, which opens ZIP archives including password-protected ones.
There are also online editors that need no installed software: Word Editor for .docx files, Online Spreadsheet for .xlsx and .csv, and PDF Reader to view and search a PDF. The image tools compress, convert, resize (also in inches or cm), crop (also in a circle), rotate and turn pictures black and white, and there are tools for passport photos, signatures, removing white backgrounds, merging and blurring images, changing DPI and reading text from pictures. The text tools count words and characters, compare two texts, change capitals and write numbers in words, and the printables make a yearly or monthly calendar with holidays and lined, graph, millimeter, dot, isometric, staff or calligraphy paper as PDF. When one tool finishes, "What else do you want to do?" passes the result to the next one without uploading it again.
The newest category is Calculators: Percentage calculator, with a sales tax and VAT mode, Date calculator, which counts days, business days with national holidays and exact ages, Grade calculator for simple and weighted averages and the grade you still need, and Compound interest calculator to simulate savings with monthly deposits.
