A chat with you in one scan
Saving a number to your contacts just to send one message is a step many people skip. A WhatsApp QR code removes it: whoever scans it lands directly in a chat with you, and if you added a message, it is already typed, for example "Hi, I'd like to place an order" or "Hello, I saw your sign and want a quote".
It works for anyone who sells or serves through WhatsApp: restaurants taking delivery orders, small stores, bakeries, plumbers and electricians, beauty salons, real estate agents, tutors, clinics booking appointments and event organizers.
Where to use it
On the shop window and the counter, on flyers and business cards, on product packaging and delivery bags, on a truck or van, on a banner at a market stall, or at the end of a presentation. The pre-written message helps you know where the customer came from: use "Hi, I saw your flyer" on one and "Hi, from your Instagram" on another.
Besides the code, the tool shows the wa.me link, the same address in text form, ready to copy into your social media bio, your email signature or your website.
Get the number format right
Type the full number in international format: the country code first, then the number, without the plus sign, spaces, dashes or the leading zero of local calls. For a US number that looks like 1 followed by the area code and the number. If the country code is missing, the chat may open with the wrong person or not at all. Scan a test print with your own phone before printing many copies.
The code is static: the number and message are written inside it, so it never expires and doesn't depend on any server. It can't be edited later, though, and it doesn't count scans. If you change numbers, make a new code.
Free and private
The QR code is generated in your browser. Your number and message are not sent to any server or saved. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on codes. If you only need the link without the QR code, the WhatsApp link generator page is focused on that.
Design matters for a code people will scan from a distance. Keep a dark code on a light background, leave some white space around it, and choose 1024 or 2048 px for posters and banners. SVG is the safest format for a print shop. If you add your logo, the code switches to the strongest error correction and downloads as PNG. Next to the code, a short line such as "Scan to order on WhatsApp" tells people what will happen.
