How to create a WhatsApp link in 3 steps

  1. 1

Type your WhatsApp number with the country code and, if you want, the message the chat should start with.

  2. 2

Copy the wa.me link that appears.

  3. 3

Paste it wherever you want people to contact you, and download the QR code too if you need it for print.

Your files never leave your device

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded to any server: it is read, processed and downloaded on your own device. When you close or reload the page, it is gone from memory.

What a wa.me link is

A wa.me link is a short web address that opens a WhatsApp chat with a specific number. On a phone it opens the app; on a computer it offers WhatsApp Web or the desktop app. If you add a message, it is already typed in the chat, so the customer only taps send.

It saves your customers a step: they don't need to copy your number, save it to their contacts and then search for it. One tap and they are talking to you.

Where to paste your link

In your Instagram, TikTok or Facebook bio, as a "message us" button on your website or online store, in your email signature, in a Google Business profile, in the description of a YouTube video, on a link-in-bio page, or in a message to past customers. Freelancers can add it to their portfolio, and teachers or coaches to their booking page.

Different messages help you tell where people come from: "Hi, I saw your website" on the website link and "Hi, from Instagram" on the bio link. When you also need a printed version for a counter, a flyer or packaging, download the QR code that the tool creates with the same number and message.

Get the number right

Use the international format: country code first, then the full number, without the plus sign, spaces, parentheses, dashes or the leading zero used for local calls. A missing country code is the most common mistake and can send people to a chat with a stranger. Open the link from another phone once to make sure it reaches you.

The link and the QR code are static: they contain your number and message directly, without any redirect service, so they never expire. They can't be edited later and don't count clicks or scans; if your number changes, generate a new link.

Free, private, no account

Everything is created in your browser. Your number and message are not sent to any server or stored. It is free, without sign-up and without limits. For a page focused on the printable code, see WhatsApp QR code.

A short call to action next to the link helps people use it: "Message us on WhatsApp", "Book by WhatsApp" or "Ask for a quote" works better than a bare address. If you run ads or posts, you can create a different message for each campaign and see from the first message which one brought each customer. And if you share the link inside WhatsApp itself, for example in a status or a group, it appears as a tappable link.
