How to convert SVG to PNG in 3 steps

  1. 1

Select one or more SVG files. PNG is already set as the output format.

  2. 2

Check the file list; the SVG is drawn at 2000 pixels on its longer side.

  3. 3

Press “Process” and download the PNG images, one by one or together in a ZIP.

Your files never leave your device

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. The file is never uploaded to any server: it is read, processed and downloaded on your own device. When you close or reload the page, it is gone from memory.

Why you need a PNG of an SVG

SVG is a vector format: instead of pixels, it stores shapes, lines and curves, so it stays sharp at any size. Designers deliver logos and icons as SVG, icon libraries offer SVG downloads, and Cricut, Silhouette and other cutting machines use SVG cut files. But many places don't accept SVG at all: social media profile pictures, marketplace listings, email signatures, most messaging apps, Word and PowerPoint in some versions, print services that ask for a raster image, and upload forms that only list JPG and PNG.

Converting to PNG gives you a regular image that works in all of those places, while keeping the transparent background that logos and icons usually need.

Drawn at 2000 pixels

Because an SVG has no fixed pixel size, ConvertirDocs draws it at 2000 pixels on its longer side. A square logo becomes a 2000 × 2000 PNG; a wide banner becomes 2000 pixels wide with the height in proportion. That's large enough for slides, documents, printed flyers of modest size, mockups and social media, and it gives you room to make it smaller.

If you need a smaller PNG, for example 512 pixels for an app icon or 180 pixels for a profile picture, send the result to “Resize image” and type the exact dimensions. Making a large image smaller always looks clean, while enlarging a small one doesn't, which is why starting at 2000 pixels is useful.

Transparency and limits

Areas of the SVG that have no fill stay transparent in the PNG, so a logo can be placed on top of a colored background or a photo. If you'd rather have a white background, use “SVG to JPG” instead.

The SVG is drawn by your browser, so the PNG shows what the browser shows when it opens the file. SVGs that rely on fonts not installed on your device, or that link to external images, may look different from what the designer saw. For logos, ask for a version where the text has been converted to outlines.

Nothing is uploaded

The conversion happens in your browser, so client logos, unreleased artwork and cut files for your craft shop are never uploaded or stored on a server. There's no account, no watermark and no limit on how many SVGs you convert. Select a whole icon set and download every PNG in a single ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

What size is the PNG?

The SVG is drawn at 2000 pixels on its longer side, with the other side in proportion. Use “Resize image” afterward for a different size.

Will the background be transparent?

Yes. Areas with no fill stay transparent. Choose “SVG to JPG” if you want a white background instead.

Can I use this for Cricut or Silhouette designs?

Yes, when you need a picture of the design, for example a print-then-cut image or a product photo mockup. Keep the original SVG for cutting, since the machine software works with vectors.

Why does the text in my PNG look different?

The SVG may use a font that isn't installed on your device. Ask for a version with the text converted to outlines, or install the font and convert again.

Can I convert many SVG files at once?

Yes. Select them all and download the PNG images together in a ZIP or one by one.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your browser draws the SVG and creates the PNG on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I go the other way, from PNG to SVG?

Yes. “PNG to SVG” traces an image into real vector shapes. It works best with logos and drawings that have few colors.
